Vibe Code Guild was founded by Shane McGrath. He spent years watching talented people get locked out of software development because they didn't have the "right" credentials.
The traditional path to building software was broken. It demanded years of study, mountains of syntax memorization, and a tolerance for gatekeeping culture that told people they weren't "real developers" unless they could whiteboard a binary tree from memory.
Then AI changed everything. Suddenly, the barrier wasn't syntax anymore. The people who understood their problems could now build solutions directly, using AI as a collaborator instead of a reference manual.
